Beehive author Simon Adepetun had his Year 7 audience buzzing with enthusiasm when he came to inspire them to create their own tales.
The fantasy book is Simon’s first foray into the world of children’s story-telling and it was all the more thrilling for him to get it published as his teenage daughter designed the illustrations.
He told the students his own story from planning to print and gave them some top tips to create their own best-seller.
"It was a wonderful for the students to engage with a real author. It brought out some amazing tales from the boys and really stimulated their creativity," said Miss Haworth, Reading Advocate and Learning Resource Manager.
